Nadolig Llawen from Cardiff Christmas Market

This is the third year that Welsh Connection have had a seasonal stall in Cardiff city centre in the run up to christmas. The last few years have been spent selling our Welsh Gifts in the warmth of St David's Centre, but this year we've moved outside to the Hayes.

It’s a little chilly at Cardiff Christmas Market today so I wanted to find something to keep my hands warm.

I know… ! I could have opted for the traditional glove-cover-up but that seemed a little defeatist. Besides which, adding layers as the day gets colder seems to work better. It takes a little less time to thaw out afterwards.

So I’ve opted for a little sketching to take my mind off the temperature. Nothing warms the heart like a new design. Yes, the team are going to be rolling their eyes but I’m inspired by the amount of people going by on bicycles. A cycling design for the Spring, started at Cardiff Christmas Market. It’s where our popular Evan Bevan Welsh farmer character was born so that’s a good omen.

So if you are struggling to find Christmas gifts for the Cymro or Cymraes in your life, then come on down to see us at the Christmas market - you'll find a wide range of high quality china and homewares - almost all with a Welsh flavour. And if you don't make it down, you can buy our Welsh Gifts online. Happy shopping pawb!
